WHO INVENTED THE KITE?

2,000 years ago, a Chinese farmer used to tie his hat to the ground to prevent it from being blown away. The first kite was born!

Also, a Chinese general from 1,000 years ago could not get his soldiers to do as he pleased. This was because they saw a shooting star, thinking it was an evil 'demon'. The general used a 'flaming' kite to trick the troops into thinking the 'demon' had flown away.

Japanese monks also used kites to scare away evil spirits.
